Monthly Favourites- April 2018

Hello everyone! How is it May already?! This year is flying by. It’s that time again- monthly favourites time! I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of April: from entertainment, books, beauty, clothing, and a “recipe”. Without further ado, let’s get started!

Monthly Favourites April 2018

The Crown– I recently finished watching all of the episodes of Friends and was ready to watch something new! I find the Royal Family fascinating, so I’ve been loving this show! I’m on Season 2 and have been watching it in small pieces in the mornings. I think I will start watching it on weekends to pay closer attention. But I would recommend this show!

Monthly Favourites April 2018

Trading Spaces– it’s back! I grew up watching Trading Spaces after school, and I’m so happy it’s back! Seeing everyone again is fun! If you watched the original series, check out the reboot!

Monthly Favourites April 2018

13! game– This game is addicting! Similar to 2048, it’s a number tile game, where you connect tiles to get a higher number, and try to get a tile to 13. I think I do a better job explaining it in the video below lol, but the picture below might help!

Monthly Favourites April 2018

Balancing in Heels by Kristen Cavallari – I’m a fan of Laguna Beach and The Hills, so I was interested to read her book. It was an easy read and parts of it were ineterstesing, but some parts were a little “preachy” (not in a religious way, more of a do this and don’t do that way). I wish I learned a little bit more about her life, but I still enjoyed it for the quick read it was.

Monthly Favourites April 2018

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid– I flew through this book! Like read it in 4 days. And it was probably double the size of the one mentioned above. I really enjoyed this book, and would highly recommend it! Here’s a synopsis from

From Taylor Jenkins Reid, “a genius when it comes to stories about life and love” (Redbook), comes an unforgettable and sweeping novel about one classic film actress’s relentless rise to the top—the risks she took, the loves she lost, and the long-held secrets the public could never imagine.

Monthly Favourites April 2018

Sally Hansen Nail Polish– I’ve been into wearing nail polish this month, and I thought I would mention the two shades I’ve been wearing. I really like the Sally Hensen Miracle Gel, because I find it doesn’t chip. Flushed Wanderer & Street Flair are the shades I wore a lot in April! Below is the Flushed Wanderer shade, and I’m wearing Street Flair in the video at the bottom of the post!

Monthly Favourites April 2018

Becca Liptuitive lip gloss– I picked this up during the Sephora Spring sale, and I’ve been loving it! It’s smooth and not tacky, hydrating and it a nice pink (bascially it just enhances the natural color of your lips).

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Columbia Jacket– I picked this up when Ethan and I went to Niagara Falls for his birthday (you can watch that weekend vlog here). I’m so happy it’s finally warm enough to wear it! It’s waterproof and is somewhat insulated, plus it’s flattering with the cinched waist and is long enough to cover my bum! I think it will last a long time! I’ve linked the closest one I could find 🙂

Monthly Favourites April 2018

Food & Drink

Scramble- I thought I would share what I’ve been having for breakfast lately! I take an egg, add some egg whites, fry up some red pepper and spinach, add some cheese and serve my scramble with some salsa! I also have a piece of toast with jam. It keeps me full, and I’m not getting sick of it!

Monthly Favourites April 2018

Vanilla Biscotti Folgers Coffee– This has been my go to coffee! It tastes similar to the Winter Carnival from Timothy’s but it more readily available (aka available at the grocery store). I’m slowly working my way to drinking my coffee black!

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Hello everyone! It’s that time of year again, Sephora Spring Sale time! I’m sharing what I picked up during the Spring Sale! It’s definitely smaller than my last haul, but I’m excited about what I bought! Ethan and I also picked up some things for our wedding! Okay, let’s get started!

Sephora Spring Sale 2018

First things first- if you are shopping Sephora online, (especially during the sale when you are probably spending more money) make sure to use Ebates*! You get cash back for shopping. Seriously! You just have to head to the Ebates site and click to Sephora through there and you are good to go!*affiliate link used for convenience

Bumble & Bumble birthday gift– I’ve always wanted to try Bumble and Bumble shampoo and conditioner, so this was the perfect pick! It will be perfect for when we go to Ethan’s Parents house because they are travel sized! And it was free!! Yay!

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray 2 pack– By the time I realized this was a thing during the Fall Sale it was sold out, so you can bet I was ready to go during this sale! I still have some left of the bottle I got in November, so I should be stocked for a while! This product seems to only be available during the sales so I’ve linked the regular product- if you use this product I suggest stocking up during the Sephora Spring Sale and Fall sale!

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Drunk Elephant The Littles™– Okay, this was my 100% splurge. When you say Drunk Elephant to someone, the first thing you hear is “Oh that’s expensive”. But I’m super frustrated with my skin (and I have been for a long time), so I’m ready to try anything. And with 8 products to try in this kit, I’m going all in. It’s supposed to be a miracle line of skincare, so I will definitely do a follow up post and video with my results. Here’s hoping they work! If they work- I may have to buy smaller sizes until the next sale, because they are VERY pricey.

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Drunk Elephant Cleanser Travel Pack– I went all in and bought the cleansers as well. These are supposed to be really good, and can last a long time! One has a slight exfoliation to it, so I will even switch between them making them last longer.

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Amika Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde shampoo– I recently got some highlights in my hair, and want to keep them looking good! I was surprised about the price for the size of this product though, so I hope it works! It should last a while because I will only use it once a week.

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Living Proof No Frizz hairspray– I was SHOCKED at how small this travel size was. It better be a miracle hair spray and keep away my frizz- but even then I’m not sure if I’d pay for the full size of this.

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Becca Liptuitive Glow Lip gloss– I’m OBSESSED with this! I bought 2- one for me to keep in my desk at work, and my Mom and sister both bought one! It looks clear in the tube and when you first put it on, but then it changes to bring out the colour of your lips! So smooth and hydrating, I love it!

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Prada Luna Rossa Carbon Cologne – after a lot of sampling, Ethan picked a cologne that is surprisingly familiar, it smells just like the body wash he uses! (Fiji from Old Spice). So a smell that I already associate with him will last even longer on our wedding day, and he’ll also have it for a long while after! It’s described as earthy and woody on the Sephora website.

Sephora Spring Sale 2018 Haul

Stella McCartney POP perfume– I definitely don’t wear perfume often, and I don’t think I’ve ever purchased and (maybe with the exception of some Mary Kate and Ashley ones), and I like this one! I didn’t want anything too strong or floral, so I like it! It’s described as bright, contemporary and positive (as well as sandalwood and cedar wood) on the Sephora website.

Check In!

Hello everyone, I hope you are well! Today is actually my birthday, so I thought I would take this opportunity to check in with you! It’s been a long while since I’ve done this, I think the last one was almost two years ago!

check in

I thought I would just sit down and type- so I apologize in advance if this post is all over the place, but I’m just writing what I’m thinking!

It’s hard to believe I’ve been blogging for almost three years! I feel like I’ve really found my groove and it’s such a part of my normal routine that it doesn’t feel like work. I 100% still enjoy sharing a new post with you every week and I hope you enjoy it too!

I also can’t believe how much I’ve changed since starting the blog! I would have never thought I’d be writing personal posts, I thought it would strictly be Disney. And YouTube? There was no way I ever thought I would upload a video! Vlogging? No way! And now I’ve been vlogging every weekend for over a year, and I’m still loving it!

I’ve become a lot more confident in myself and my abilities, and I have learned so much! I’ve also added much more into my schedule, especially now owning a sticker shop and posting one video a week for that channel!

I feel like I’ve learned a lot about blogging, and I’m still learning every day! Some of my favourite posts are sharing what I learned in each year of blogging! I’m not an expert by any means, but I’m definitely willing to share my experiences!

I’ve also loved sharing my Disney knowledge, especially after I’ve been 9 times! I will hopefully have more to share as I continue to visit the parks, although it might not be as often as I’d like 😉

I have tons of ideas for posts, and many that I will cover in the future (especially after we move into our house!). I’m thinking a before tour of our house, and posts as we finish decorating rooms, ect.

Looking ahead in my blog schedule I definitely have a lot of ideas, but I’d love to know if there is something you’d like to see! I have some questions for you below the video 🙂

I also posted my first check in on YouTube, if you’d rather listen to me talk than read the above!

Here’s where you come in!

Is there anything you’d like to see more of?

Anything you’d like to see less of?

Any questions you have for me?

And posts or videos you’d like to see from me?

Are there any wedding related posts or videos you would like to see?

Any house related posts once we move in?

Also if you’d care to let me know what brings you to my blog, I’d love to know!

I’d love to know! Let me know in the comments below, or head to the contact page to shoot me an email 🙂

THANK you!

I also wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU! I didn’t know what to expect when I started this thing almost three years ago, and I’m so happy with where I am now! Your support of this blog means the world to me, and I just want to thank you for following along!
