Erin Condren 2016 Haul!

GUYS. Today feels like Christmas! I’m sharing my Erin Condren haul for this year, including my 2017 Life Planner! I got a couple other things as well, and I’m sharing it all with you. I’m also sharing some of my thoughts about ordering on launch day (June 1st).

Erin Condren Haul!

Check out my haul video below:

My 2017 Life Planner

Because my current Life Planner goes through the end of the year, I decided to go with the 12 month version (Jan-Dec 2017). I like to finish things completely, and because I already have things in the last 6 months of my planner, I didn’t want it to go to waste even though it’s only $5 for the additional 6 months. I think Erin Condren should offer a planner that goes from July-July to avoid this problem. Currently they offer July 2016-December 2017, or January 2017-December 2017. If you buy at any time for the rest of this year, for an additional $5 you can get the remaining months of the year. I also learned that they charged $5 for cover personalization, which I think is not right. Erin Condren products are all about personalization, so I do not think there should be an upcharge for this. When you buy extra cover, you are not charged for personalization. I will be emailing them about this, because I was not happy to learn this.

They changed things up this year, offering different colour schemes, as well as choosing your own coil and layout (vertical, horizontal, or hourly). While I liked the neutral theme, the colours are really what attracted me to the planners in the first place. They are just so pretty! I chose the colourful theme and vertical layout, with a rose gold coil. You can choose either platinum, gold, or rose gold for your coil. The rose gold coil or gold coil is an additional $10. I walk through the planner in the video, so take a look above if you are interested!

2017 Life Planner

Inside The Planner

Interchangeable Covers

Journals (Notebooks)

When these were released I definitely looked and waited until the Life Planner launch so I could grab everything together. I decided to get 2 notebooks, 1 for anything to do with my bakery, and one for everything else. I have filled up a few of the pages at the back of my planner, but wanted a little bit more space where I can make lists to my heart’s content. I chose to get the lined journals, instead of the dot grid option, and I can’t wait to use them! I decided to get the second notebook to match my planner 🙂 The colour I chose for the journal and extra covers for my planner are in Dusk- the closest to the actual design.

The difference between the Journal and notebooks are the binding. The notebooks are spiral bound (like the Life Planners). I decided to try the journals, and I will report back on how I like writing in them!

I got two snap in dashboards to try out, and I will definitely let you know what I think if them, and which one I end up using! The first one is for meal planning, with sections for each day of the week to write meals, and the back is for a grocery list! I’ve learned how much easier it is to grocery shop when meal planning, and I think I will definitely use this when I have my own place. The second is just blank, so I’m not quite sure what I will use it for, but I’m sure I will find something! They both work with wet erase markers.

Ordering on Launch Day

This was my first time ordering on launch day, and I definitely learned a lot! First of all, even getting the website to load was a tall task. I can’t imagine how many people were trying to access the website at the same time. It became very frustrating because once you were on the website it was very slow and kept crashing. Once I had all the items in my cart, checking out was difficult as well. Once I finally got to the checkout page and had entered my credit card information, the site crashed! I had my email open to see if it went through (looking for a confirmation number), and had nothing, so I tried again. The same thing happened. So I gave up on it for a while. I came back a couple hours later and when I logged into my account my cart was empty. The order had been placed- twice! I emailed customer service right away and was nervous that I was going to get two shipments of the exact same things, all personalized with my name on it! I didn’t receive my confirmation emails until that evening, and I received two emails! Luckily I heard back from customer service the next day and got the duplicate order cancelled. I was so relieved and thanked them very much for their great customer service- I can only imagine how busy they were! After watching other haul videos, it turns out the duplicate orders didn’t just happen to me. It’s something I think Erin Condren could have prevented and should have been more organized to avoid.

What I took from all of this: don’t order on launch day! The earliest you planner is going to start is July, and shipping only takes a few weeks, so you can most definitely wait! I’m glad I figured this out and am happy to share my experience with you!

I’m super excited to announce my first giveaway! To celebrate with other organize-loving people and also to celebrate the 1st birthday of A Disney Obsession on Friday (can you believe it?!), I’m giving away a journal!

FabFitFun Summer 2016 Box!

Happy Summer everyone! With the changing of the seasons comes my FabFitFun box! I have an unboxing for you today, and I’m sharing everything that’s in this seasons box! This box cost me $76.37 with Canadian exchange and international shipping. Take a look at the unboxing video below:

What’s in the box

FabFitFun Everyday Beach Waves Spray- I’ve tried a couple different Sea Salt sprays, so I’m interested to see how this one works. I love the beach waves look, and tend to go for the look on days I will wash my hair. The spray is valued at $18.

Betchsicles Ice Pop Molds- These wine bottle-shapes popsicle moulds are adorable and scream summer! I can wait to make some (hopefully healthy) pops! $19 Value.

Summer & Rose Yoga Towel– This towel is meant to go on top of your yoga mat, but I’m going to try it instead of my mat. When I am working out I use a yoga mat because I have a bad tailbone, but because I wear running shoes my mat has gotten a little ripped up. I’m going to try this instead, I will report back! $36 value.

Stemulation® Daily Micro Derm Scrub– I’m excited to try this scrub, it’s always nice to try something new! I’ve been thinking of trying a scrub, so this one came at the perfect time! Valued at $34.

Passport to Beauty Gypset Luminous Lips– This shade didn’t quite speak to me, so I gave it to my sister. She loves it! It looks a little to bright for me.

OSEA Atmosphere Protection Cream– I am really looking to try this product out! With summer here it’s great to protect your skin, and you can even mix this with your foundation! It’s valued at $48. If I like it, I may just take it with me on my next Disney World trip, to further protect my skin from the Florida sun!

Tote Bag

Trina Turk Canvas Tote- This tote is adorable! I love it. I don’t necessarily have a thing for purses, but I definitely have a thing for bags. I love the colour and it just screams summer! I like that it’s a collab between Trina Turk and FabFitFun! This bag is valued at $55.

Burts Bees BB Cream- this item was a bonus, and I’ve just started trying Burt’s Bees® products. I’m interested to see how I like it!

Subscription Update

I have decided to cancel my subscription for the FabFitFun box. I talked a little bit about it in the video, but I can’t really justify the cost for the number of things I actually use in the box! Most of it just sits… in the box. I think in the 4 boxes I have received I’ve used a handful of things. For the Winter box I got the two “add-ons”, and only use the water bottle. While the Kettlebell shaped speaker is adorable, it’s rounded on the bottom, so it doesn’t actually stand up! Annoying! I use the resistance band that came in the Fall box, and the umbrella as well. Anyways, I have cancelled my subscription, and may look for another box to try. If you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments!

FFF Summer

I hope you enjoyed a look inside the FabFitFun Summer box, thank you so much for reading! If you missed what was in the Spring box, you can check out that here.

What would you use first from this box? Let me know in the comments!

Monthly Favourites- May 2016

Hello everyone! I can’t believe it is June already! That means one thing: it’s monthly favourites time! I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the last month, from entertainment, clothing, beauty and more! Let’s get started:

Monthly Favourites

The Hills- May 31st marked the 10 year anniversary of this reality show, and it made me a little nostalgic. So what did I do? Had a marathon for the 1st season. And it was awesome. I’ve already said that I’m a huge Lauren Conrad fan, but it was fun going back and watching her again. She was smart for a 19 year old!

Grey’s Anatomy- While I haven’t watched Grey’s Anatomy on TV every season, I had binge watched and seen every episode. I lost track the episode after the mid season finale this year, and caught up in a week. I watched the last few episodes of the season on TV. Even though this show has been on for 12 years, I still really enjoy it! I’m happy to be caught up for next season.

The Bachelorette- It’s that time of year again! I mentioned in my 30 things you might now know about me post how this franchise is my guilty pleasure, but I’m happy the new season has started! I really like Jojo on the last season of The Bachelor, and I hope she finds someone this season. My personal pick is Luke, so we will see how that pans out!

Gilmore Girls- I have been watching this since before February, and am sadly on the last season :(. I’m looking for suggestion for what I should watch next, so if you have any recommendations let me know in the comments! P.S. who is excited for Gilmore Girls to come back?! I know I am!

Toronto Blue Jays- I’m from just outside of Toronto, so the Blue Jays are my home team! Because summer is almost here and the TV pickings aren’t as great, I’m really enjoying watching baseball a few nights a week! I’m finding out just how much I like baseball, and I’m excited to be heading to a few more games this summer. Go Jays go!

Loreal Paris Foundation- I recently tried this foundation, and am really liking it! I may need to go a little bit darker as my face tans, but I find this foundation applied really easily with my beauty blender. It’s not too thick so I barely feel like I’m wearing anything!

Old Navy Pajama Shorts– I love these pajama pants and shorts! Again now that it is getting warmer, I’ve started wearing these shorts to bed. They are so light and comfortable, and the prints are adorable! I generally buy a few pairs when Old Navy has a good sale (which is most of the time).

Strawberries- This one is simple, and so delicious! I’ve been enjoying sliced strawberries in my lunch lately, and they are so good! If I’m feeling like a treat I’ll whip up some crepes with Strawberries and Nutella 🙂

Ice Cream Sandwiches– These cookie ice cream sandwiches are amazing. So much better than the chocolate cookie kind that stick to your fingers! The cookies are soft too, which make them easier to recommend. A perfect treat during the warmer months!

iPhone 6s & Phone Case– In May I got a new phone! I used to have the iPhone 5s but I’m loving the size of my new one! I tend t watch a lot of YouTube on my phone so the screen size makes that a little easier! I am also really loving the phone case I picked out. It’s by Sonix, and I picked it up at Chapters. The pineapples are perfect for summer, and I love how durable it is!

The Tim Tracker– Lastly I thought I would start sharing some of the YouTubers I’ve been enjoying lately! I’d seen a couple of Tim’s videos a while ago, but really got into his channel this month. He and his wife live in Orlando so they go to Disney a lot which I enjoy watching. They also went to Disneyland a few months ago so I watched all of those videos. I’ve never been to Disneyland and I know it will be a while before I get there, but I don’t want to give too much away before I get there in person so I don’t watch too many videos on it. I definitely recommend checking out Tim’s channel, and also his wife’s! Tim also has an awesome moustache. 🙂
