Hello friends! It was my birthday last week, so I thought I would share some of the things I got for my birthday! I shared some of the things I picked up around my birthday last year, so I thought it would be fun to do the same again! Also since I used the money I got for my birthday, I’m sharing what I picked up in the Sephora Spring Sale which happened just 2 days after my birthday! That money was just burning a hole in my pocket :).
Ethan got me the You Are Here Walt Disney World mugs from Starbucks! You can get these mugs at the different Starbucks in the parks, so I have the 4 different ones. I’ve seen people who have them, and they’d always kind of been in the back of my mind, so I’m so happy to finally have them! I don’t think I will use them right now because our mug cupboard is stuffed right now, but I’ll display them and save them for our house! I think that will make it even more exciting to use them, and I know they will get used all the time! They also have ones for cities around the world, but more importantly they also have Disney ones for the California parks, so hopefully I can get those at some point You can see them in the picture above, they were a little difficult to photograph! You can see them a little better in the video below! I couldn’t find the link for the exact ones I got, but here’s another version of them.
My sister got me the Happy Bathday set from Lush, and I can’t wait to use it! I’ve never tried anything from Lush, so I ‘m excited to give these products a try! Sundays are usually the day when I will do something for myself (as you may see in my weekend vlogs), and this kit will keep me stocked for a while! The set includes: Brightside Bubble Bar, Pink Flamingo Bubble Bar, Pop in the Bath Bubble Bar, Butterball Bath Bar, Fizzbanger Bath Bomb, and Dragon’s Egg Bath Bomb.
Sephora Spring Sale Haul
And now for what I picked up at Sephora (that hadn’t arrived when I wrote this post)! I’m currently at the Beauty Insider level so I saved 10%, although after this order I got bumped up to VIB level. I forgot to get my free 3 samples in my first order, so I also placed another order at VIB level saving 15% :).
What I should have done it bought the minimum to bump me up a level at 10% off, then the rest at 15% off. Oh well, I learned for next time! I thought this would be a great time to try some things that might be more expensive, because why not when it’s on sale! All pictures are from the Sephora website. Okay, below is what I picked up!
Sephora lip stain in Peach – I’ve been on a lip kick lately so I thought I would try something else as well! I like the idea of a stain, because I can apply it right before I go to work, and I don’t have to worry about touching it up later.
Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover– I normally buy the Marcelle makeup remover but I thought I would give this a try! It’s close in price point, but I got the travel size which will come in handy.
Sephora Face Masks– I’ve mentioned these in a recent monthly favourites, so I thought I should pick up some more to have on hand. They are nice because they make you stop and relax! I picked up the Orchid and Green Tea ones this time :).
Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask to Rescue Problem Skin– my skin has been a little more problematic than normal lately. I don’t have a lot of breakouts per-se, but I need to try something. I think diet is part of it, so hopefully my skin will improve soon!
Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Peach-Infused Highlighting Palette – This was the first VIB purchase I made! I’d had it on my list for a while, and decided to splurge! I thought this is a nice way to dip my toes into the highlighting and contour world.
Tools of the Trade Brush Set by Sephora– I don’t have a lot of brushes, so I treated myself to this set.
Sephora Color Switch by Vera Mona Brush Cleaner– This year I really want to take care of my brushes and clean them more often. When I got the Naked 3 palette for Christmas, the one thing I noticed was it was a little difficult to change colours day to day. So I saw this cool tool, and my problem may be solved! From what I understand you just glide the bush over the pad, and can switch colours! Then when it gets dirty you can rinse the pad and it’s good to go again!
As you can tell I’m trying to build up my makeup collection this year, and I think a lot of the things I got will help get me there!
If you’d like to see a closer look at everything, check out the co-ordinating video below!
If you can’t tell, I was pretty busy last week! Thanks for reading and checking out what I got for my birthday this year! If you shopped in the Sephora sale, I’d love to know what you picked up!
