Hello friends! I hope you are well! Today I am sharing another empties post! I’m trying to do 2 of these posts per year so they are shorter and I don’t have a massive container of empties laying around! If you are new to an empties post, I’m sharing the products that I’ve used up recently (and at least one that I didn’t finish), what I thought of the products, and what I would repurchase. If you missed my last one, you can see that here. Okay, let’s get started!
*affiliate links used for convenience*
Crest Pro Health Mouthwash– This is actually my favourite mouthwash! You can find the big bottles in a 2-pack at Costco, and it doesn’t burn, and has a mild minty taste. I would repurchase this again!
Aveeno Positively Radiant toner– I have been trying to find a line of skincare that works for me, and Aveeno was one that I didn’t see much of a difference. I didn’t completely use up any of the other products so this is the only one making it to the Empties, but I didn’t find it made a difference in my skin for me, so I wouldn’t repurchase it.
Tressemé Breakage Defense shampoo– I haven’t really found a shampoo that’s made a difference in my hair, so this one was a “meh” for me. The major turnoff was the buildup of product on the outside. I’ve never had a shampoo so that (with the exception of the one below, and you can see it when I hold them up in the video at the bottom of the post).
Tressemé Nourish and Replenish natural shampoo– The same thing happened with this shampoo, although not as badly. I think we purchase these shampoos because they are frequently on sale. I probably wouldn’t repurchase them again.
Marcelle gentle makeup remover– This is my favourite eye makeup remover! It’s on the pricey side for an item from the drugstore, but I think it does a great job and it’s very gentle.
Almay Smart Shade Foundation– expired and not used up! This is a very sheer foundation and because my skin is sensitive and red I don’t like it- I repurchased it before finding my go-to foundation, so I didn’t touch this one before it expired.
Tresemmé Thermal Creations heat taming spray– this has been my go-to heat taming spray for years. My one gripe- don’t travel with it! Or if you do, decant it into a travel sized spray container. I’ve had two bottles spill while in a suitcase!
Satsuma shower gel from The Body Shop– I have a stockpile of this and will continue to use it! I love the scent, and largest size lasts me about a year!
Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery conditioner – I got this is a swag bag from an event that I went to, but I probably wouldn’t repurchase it. The only conditioner I’ve noticed a difference with is the Garnier Whole Blends Avocado and Shea Butter.
Warm Vanilla Sugar ultra shea cream from Bath & Body Works– This is my favourite scent from Bath and Body works! I tend to get overwhelmed by scents easily, so this one is nice an neutral. I keep this lotion in my desk because my hands get dry at work! I have repurchased and would purchase it again!
Garnier Micellar water (sensitive)– I bought this in a pinch after hearing good things about it! It’s less expensive than the one mentioned above, and it does a nice job. I have repurchased the larger size and it should last me a while!
Vitamin E Moisture Cream from The Body Shop– This was the skincare line I was using before I tried Aveeno, and it didn’t really do anything for my skin. I used this moisturizer under my makeup and it was nice enough. I probably wouldn’t repurchase again.
Vitamin E Night Cream from The Body Shop– I used this cream at night, and again it was nice enough. Probably wouldn’t repurchase it again.
Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream from The Body Shop– changed scent before I could finish it- but only used it once in a while
Stemulation Daily Microderm scrub– I got this in a Fab Fit Fun box, and used it on my arms (I have Keratosis Pilaris). I don’t think this brand is readily available in Canada, but I liked the scent so I would probably purchase it again.
Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub from The Body Shop– I was using this on my face in the shower, but was worried that it was making my skin worse so I stopped. It has a nice fresh scent, but I probably wouldn’t repurchase it to use on my face.
Beauty Blender– My go to foundation applicator, I would and have repurchased this! I’d like to try the Sephora brand blenders to see if there’s a difference, but I like the name brand one!
Loreal Paris Anti-Redness BB Cream– I bought this to use under my foundation to cover up the redness in my face, and it’s very orange. I’m not quite sure why I bought another, but I wouldn’t repurchase it. I think I was hoping to use it as a tinted moisturizer, but it’s way too orange.
Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray– This is the only setting spray I’ve used, and it’s my go to! I’ve repurchase it several times, most recently in the Sephora Spring Sale!
Peach lip gloss from The Body Shop- I bought this when it was on sale and kept it in my desk at work. I liked the scent, but it was very hard to use up, and was a tacky lip gloss. I probably wouldn’t repurchase it again. I don’t think this is available anymore, but you can see what it looked like in the video below.
Tattoo eyeliner from Kat Von D in Trooper– this is my go-to ride or die eyeliner! I love how easy it is to apply, and how fine of a line you can get. I wear this every day, and one usually lasts me about six months. I wish I bought another one during the last sale!
Loral True Match Foundation in C2– This is my go to foundation! It has nice coverage, and the colour is perfect. One bottle lasts me quite a while which is nice, and it’s available at the drugstore so it’s significantly cheaper than foundations at Sephora. I have repurchased this and would again and again!
Tarte Birthday Suit lip stain (mini) from birthday gift– this was one half of the Tarte birthday gift from Sephora last year, and I loved it! It did sort of separate and leak, so I wouldn’t recommend it. I did purchase the full size thinking maybe it was just the travel size, but it is doing it as well. The applicator also pulls out a lot of product, which ends up seeping over the sides.
Holy moly! I didn’t realize I had gone through so many products! If you made it this far- thank you!
