Friends, I have been waiting for my planner to come to give you an inside look, and today is the day! As you know I recently got engaged, and as soon as wedding talk started, I knew I needed a place to write everything down, keep everything in one place, and stay organized. You probably know how much I love my Life Planner from Erin Condren, so of course I looked at their Wedding Planner! If you’d like $10 off your first order with Erin Condren, click here. I filmed a video walking you through the whole thing, so let’s jump right in!
We hadn’t set a date when I bought the planner, and because we would be engaged more than a year before we get married, so I went ahead and bought the 2 year planner. I figured if I really wanted to I can just rip the months out from when we are married, to free up some space. I like that the calendar pages come blank, and with the date dots, so you make it yourself and it fits any year. The only part that doesn’t quite make sense is in the bottom right in the picture below, the years don’t change between the months. Instead of 2016 and 2017, and 2017 and 2018, it’s 2016 and 2017 for both years, meaning they used the same paper. I don’t think I would look at those much anyways, but it’s something to note.
At the beginning of the planner is the calendar, complete with a goals sidebar for each month, a note page on the back and a quote page for each month.
Next is a timeline which is definitely helpful, and you can check things off as you complete them. We will have lots of time to do all of the things listed, and I already think I want to spread stuff out to keep my stress levels low!
Next are pages for the wedding party, guest list, seating plans, floral arrangements, photo lists, writing your vows and the cake tasting.
A page to keep all of the vendor information is super helpful. I can already see how easy it will be to have all of that information in one place. There’s even two extra spots for any other vendors you may have.
I think my favourite part might be all of the note pages at the back! With a coil style planner instead of a binder, I don’t have to worry about running out of space! There are lined pages and blank, so I have plenty of options.
Lastly there’s a folder to keep any samples or anything that I want to keep with the planner that I don’t want to attach inside. It also comes with the keep it together pouch that you clip in with a coil clip, I put it just behind this folder.
A note about the Date Dots
If you watch the video below, you can probably hear the disappointment in my voice when I realized that for a 24 month planner I was only given 12 months of date dots, and those 12 month clash with the color scheme. I’ve reached out to Erin Condren customer service, and haven’t been too pleased with their response. They are sending more date dots to make up the other twelve months, but we will see if they are the same colour or not. (Update: They are the same colours, aka the old ones.) I believe they only make the date dots in the old colour scheme from what I see on the website, which just doesn’t add up. Why change the colour scheme of you product if you aren’t going to change it everywhere?
I don’t want this blog to just be sunshine and rainbows, and I want to share my experiences with you, so I thought it was important to mention. When I told Ethan about it he pointed out that this is not the first time an order has had something wrong with it, which is true. I think in the past I’ve been so excited about what I was getting that the mistakes couldn’t dampen my spirits, but I’m feeling a little different this time. In the past covers have been made with the wrong names on them, and the customer service response well, sucked. It’s leaving me feeling a little unsure of supporting a business that doesn’t care too much about their customers.
it’s giveaway time!
Instead of ending this post on a sour note, I’m doing another giveaway! I’m giving away TWO (yes two!) notebooks! The giveaway will run for one week, and will end . If you are under the age of 18 please ask parental permission before entering. It’s open internationally and I will email the winners directly. The first to get back to me with their preference of notebook will get their choice!
2016 has been an interesting year, but a good one for me, and I just wanted to thank you all for keeping with me on this journey! It means so much to me, and I can’t wait to see what 2017 brings!

I would jot down daily inspirational quotes about positivity and the Law of Attraction. I’d probably do a bit of brainstorming as well.

That sucks about the date dots and how they responded. Hopefully you find better and cuter dots for your wedding planner! Maybe when you pick a color scheme, you can color cordinate it?!
Thanks for having a giveaway once again! The waterpaint/ rose gold one is beautiful. I would def use it to jot down random notes. I just use a bunch of sticky notes right now and it is a mess for a University student ahaha.

That’s such a good idea for the date dots! I have a Cricut so I may just make my own. Good luck and thanks for entering!

I am studying English in a university and one of the subject is counselling. I learn about the state of dreaming, and I would very much love to jot down my dreams inside the journal and make it as my dream journal. It is said that if we keep track of our daily dreams, even the dreams that we have when we take our naps, we can analyze our mental as well as emotional condition. I would use the journal for that, hence I hope I would be able to win this giveaway

I would journal about just random experiences and things, since I am in college I want to look back one day and remember these experiences! I am sorry to hear about the date dots colors, that is very disappointing. I agree with you, if you change it in one place then you should everywhere
adisneyobsession says
That sounds like a fun way to use the journal, especially when you look back at it! The date dots just didn’t quite make sense to me, especially because it is such a good idea to have them in the first place. Good luck with the giveaway and thank you for entering!

I am all about lists! I would jot down bucket list experiences I would like to do, design ideas for my living space, recipes I would like to try… basically everything that pops up in my busy, crazy, nonstop imagination!
I’m sorry the color scheme didn’t match in the end. I know how color plays such an important role in basically everything, especially items so sentimental and important!
adisneyobsession says
I use the pages in the back of my planner for lists! It’s nice to make lists for fun things like you’ve mentioned, and get to cross things off! I was a little bummed about the date dots, but I’m sure I’ll figure something even better out. Thank you for entering Florence, and good luck!

I love the look of the new Erin condren wedding planner. Even prettier than the old one.
I would you the notebooks for a keep sake for my children. Like movies I love and songs I like. Random poems that moved me. Just little things so they have a piece of me when I’m gone.
Thank you and happy new year

I only briefly remember the older version, and I have to agree the new one is so pretty! It definitely is a motivating factor for using it… so I can look at it! That sounds like such a sentimental way to use the journal Megan! I’m sure your kids would love stumbling upon that journal someday. Thank you for entering, good luck, and Happy New Year!
