Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! I hope 2019 is off to a great start for you! Today I’m sharing my goals for the year, as well as a few things I got for Christmas! I’ll be sharing personal goals, some goals for the blog, and some goals for my sticker shop! I tend to lean towards making goals for the year instead of resolutions. It just sounds nicer to me! Plus there’s am exciting announcement in the post! Okay, let’s jump in!

What I got for Christmas
DJI Osmo Pocket Camera– Ethan absolutely spoiled me this Christmas! I saw this camera on a whim when watching an Ellie and Jared video, it’s the neatest thing! I will be showing more of it in my next Weekend Vlog (that goes live on Friday), so make sure to check it out! It’s a tiny camera on a gimbal, that makes for smoother footage. I’m so excited to start using it!
Fountain Pen– Since addressing our wedding invitations using a fountain pen, I’d wanted one of my own! My brother-in-law got me one, and I’m so happy to have a nice pen to write with! Plus, it’s pretty!
Home Body by Joanna Gaines– Hopefully I have a house to decorate this year, and since I’m obsessed with Joanna Gaines’ decorating style, I’d love to more about how she does what she does.
Whisky in a Teacup by Reese Whitherspoon–
Bru Mate set– I mentioned that this was on my list in my Holiday Gift Guide, and I’m so happy I got it! I think I will be using the whole set quite often, especially in the summer!
Disney x Toms– I squealed when I opened these! I’ve never owned a pair of Toms, and can’t wait to break mine in!
personal Goals for 2019
1. Journal challenge– I found a journal challenge on Pinterest, and copied all of the prompts into my Bullet Journal. Here is the link to the January prompts. I’d like to get into journaling more, and I think this is a great way to start! I’d love to write every day, but I’m, not quite sure that will happen. So we will see!
2. Find a healthy balance– Now that I don’t have a wedding to focus on, I’d like to get into better habits eating and exercise wise. I don’t want to obsess over either, but want to find a healthy balancing of eating food that I enjoy, while still eating healthy. And the same for exercise. I don’t really think I will work out 7 days a week, but 5 days a week is a good goal. I think I am going to start a few rounds of the 21 Day Fix to kick start the year, but then find that balance!
3. Read 30 books– Last year my goal was pretty lame at 13, but I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with the wedding! So this year I’m testing myself with a goal of 30! I’ll see how far I can get, and hopefully set a larger goal for next year!
4. Don’t spend money on books– I only bought a handful of books in 2018, and I’d really like to keep that up this year! Between the ebook rentals I get through my library, and the books I own but haven’t ready yet, I really don’t need to buy any books! I want to only use money I’m given (gift cards or money) to purchase books, or ask for books for Christmas/my birthday. I know 1 book that I want already, and I’m going to use a gift card for it.
5. Move into our house!– I really hope this one happens, even though it’s really out of our control. I’ll be doing house updates as we start the building process (don’t worry I’ll explain it all!), and hopefully there will be lots of updates towards the end of the year once we are moved in!
6. Watch more classic movies– I feel like there are so many classic movies I haven’t seen! I know when we move into our house there will be a big adjustment financially, so this seems like a fun challenge that’s also inexpensive. Let me know if you have any recommendations! Ethan also got me tickets to see Casablanca with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in February and I can’t wait! I’ve never seen it! I just made a list of 100 classic movies in my bullet journal, so we’ll see how far I get!
A Disney Obsession Goals for 2019
1. Blog Wednesdays and every other Saturday– An announcement! Starting this week, I’ll be posting 6 times a month! I’ll be posting Wednesdays as normal, and I’m adding in a post every other Saturday! I feel like I have so many ideas for posts, and not enough time to post them, so I’m trying something new this year. I hope you enjoy this additional content, and if there’s something you’d like to see on the blog please let me know in the comments below!
2. Newsletter– I hope to continue to grow my newsletter this year, and there are a few things I’d like to do. I’d like to add a freebie (because hello- who doesn’t like free stuff?!), and continue to send emails monthly. Eventually I’d like to send emails every other week or every week, but I’m going to take things one step at a time for now you can sign up below if you haven’t already!
3. Pinterest– Pinterest is the one social media channel that I’d like to spend more time learning about and being active on! Especially as our house gets closer to being finished, I’ll have boards for the different rooms in the house! Want to follow me on Pinterest? You can find me here!
4. Continue with courses– I’ve mentioned it before but in 2017 I purchased a huge course bundle for blogging, so I’d really like to work my way through that! I also have one huge goal for the blog for 2019, but I’ll share that later!
A Sticker Obsession Goals 2019
1. Have 50 items in the shop– I really want to get back into designing and adding items to my shop! Things got crazy with wedding planning and I really just let the shop sit there, but I’d really like to see it go somewhere this year!
2. Post to Instagram more– I was really in a groove of posting my planner spread, but again fell off as things got crazy! I’ve been planning much more simply, and want to get back in the habit of posting again! If you want to follow my sticker account, you can find it here.
3. Spend more time designing– I kind of forgot how relaxing designing is, and I’d like to get back in the habit of it! Even while sitting watching TV it’s something productive that I can do! I kind of want to see how many stickers I can design this year… maybe I’ll keep track!
Thank you so much for joining me today as I share my goals for 2019! I will do a post at the end of the year to keep myself accountable, and to see how well I did!
