Hello everyone, I hope you are well! It’s monthly favourites time once again on the blog, and today I’m sharing my April favourites! April went by so quickly that I couldn’t think of many things, so today’s post is a bit shorter than normal. Okay, let’s jump in!
entertainment
Dear Evan Hansen– the weekend of my birthday Ethan and I went downtown to see the musical Dear Evan Hansen, and I really enjoyed it! The musical was very heavy and it took a while for it to sink in, but I absolutely love the music, and the message. #youwillbefound
Island of Bryan- I’ve talked about the show Bryan Inc in a favourites before, and now Bryan and Sarah Baeumier have purchased a resort in The Bahamas and the show focuses on them renovating it! It’s really interesting to see the challenges that come with working on an island. Plus, the views are beautiful!
Avengers: Endgame- OKAY. Going to see this movie (on April 26th), I’ve never been so terrified to hear movie spoilers! But we made it, and I’m going to try and keep this vague in case you haven’t seen it yet! I think it wrapped up the Avengers series well. And I cried. Like sobbed. And I think I’m going to see it again tomorrow!
Books
One Day in December by Josie Silver– I saw this book on Reese Witherspoon’s book club (it was the December pick) and I quickly added it to my list. It was a romantic comedy that was so good I stayed up until after 1am to finish it, and I cried! I would highly recommend it! It takes place over 10 years too which is different, and something I really liked about it! The characters felt so familiar by the end and I felt like I knew them!
Lying in Wait by Liz Nugent– I read this book really quickly, and enjoyed probably the first three-quarters of it! Then it got a little weird for me. But if you like dark, crime books, you’ll probably like it! I filmed the video before I finished it, so you can hear my thoughts before I got to the end at the bottom of the post!
beauty
invisibobble– I’ve been using this as a hair tie for the past few months instead of regular hair-ties, and I’ve really been liking it! Especially during workouts! The curls act as teeth and link together so nothing slips! They can be a little tricky to take out, but if you want something that isn’t going to slip and slide they work.
Ish Contour Palette– I got this palette years ago in a FabFitFun box, but really only started using it a few months ago for the bronzers! I’ve been hesitant to go too heavy on the boozer, so this palette has been a nice way to slowly add it into my makeup routine! I started with the matte shade which was very light to apply, and now I use the shimmery one which I really like. I haven’t used the highlighter or blush yet, but I really like the palette!
