Hello friends! I hope you are having a great start to the year! It’s hard to believe a month has already gone by, and it’s monthly favourites time once again! I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of December, from entertainment, to beauty, and food & drink. Without further ado, let’s get started!

Entertainment
N’Sync: Home for Christmas– I’m going to be that person and mention two Christmas-y things first. Starting with my favourite Christmas CD, Home for the Christmas by N*Sync. I’ve loved this since it came out, and I love listening to it every year. I’ve been obsessed with the song Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday for a few years now, and it seemed even more so this year. One this that I always think of when I hear it is hearing it in Magic Kingdom as we were leaving Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in 2016. It makes me smile just thinking about it!

Miracle on 34th Street (the 1994 version)– I don’t think I’d watched this movie since I was a kid, and watching it again was like watching it for the first time, even though some scenes looked familiar. It’s such a sweet movie!
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne– This was one book that was easy to read and I just wanted to sit down and read it! It’s about two co-workers who have the same position after their companied merge, each working under the CEO for their respective boss. They hate each other. They play games sitting across from each other, trying to figure out what the other one is up to and so on. And after some things happen, they realize they might not hate each other after all. It’s like romantic comedy book that I couldn’t stop reading!
Where’d You Go Bernadette? by Maria Semple– I read this book as well this month, and I really enjoyed it! It’s in a different format than I’ve seen before, with 4 sections of around 100 pages, and no real chapters. The book is made up of a lot of correspondence, and is from the point of view of there daughter of Bernadette who goes missing. It was an interesting read that I believe was in a Laurenconrad.com reading list a while ago. I’m happy to finally have read it, because my list of books to read is about a mile long.
Beauty
Whole Blends Honey Hair Mask– I’ve been using this hair mask every Sunday (when I remember), and I’m really liking it! I’m trying to grow my hair out still, and this repairing mask will definitely help! I haven’t used it frequently enough to notice a difference, but I feel like my hair deserves a bit of a treatment every week so I’m happy to have this in my shower!
Smith’s Rosebud Salve Balm– I bought this on a recommendation from Pretty Neat Living, and I love using it right before bed. My lips are still hydrated when I wake up! It’s on the expensive side, but a little goes a long way and I would recommend trying it! Especially in the winter when my lips feel like they are always chapped. They have other scents? flavours? available, so maybe once I finish this one I will try another.
Food & Drink
Mexican Bowls- I thought I would share a quick and easy dinner with you this month! It’s not quite a recipe, but it’s a dinner that I sort of forgot about until last month! It’s adapted from a Tone It Up recipe I believe I made when I was doing one of their nutrition plans, and it slowly evolved! Using a Dole bag salad (southwestern or taco… along those lines) as your base, mix that up. Then fry up some peppers, onions, black beans, any vegetables you like, and some shrimp. Then mix the two together. Voila! Easy peasy dinner that’s tasty, and is even good the next day.
Hot Chocolate K-Cups from Grove Square– This is the BEST hot chocolate I have found in a K-Cup! It’s so creamy for being water based. There are other flavours available, but the original is my favourite!
Ferrero Rocher– This is the one chocolate I only eat around Christmas, and I can’t wait to have them every year! Chocolate, hazelnuts and nutella, what’s better? Probably my favourite chocolate period.
