Hello friends! I hope you are well, and I hope you are having a good March so far! Today I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of February, from entertainment, to beauty, books, and more! This post offically marks 2 years of these posts! It feels like forever ago that I filmed and wrote my first one, and I think they’ve gotten a lot better (at least I hope they have!). Okay, let’s jump in!

Entertainment
String Theory by Hanson– Yes, Hanson! I’ve listened to their last few albums, and have really been enjoying this one! It even has an updated version of mmmbop! I think my favourite song might be “Where is the Love” (and no it’s not the Black Eyed Peas song)! There are lots of string instruments as the title would suggest, and I’ve found myself listening to it quite a bit!
In The Dark Podcast– Since finishing up the Gilmore Guys podcast in January I was ready to binge listen to something new! And I found it. I listened to both seasons of In the Dark, and really enjoyed it! The first season talks about the Jacob Wetterling case, a boy who went missing in 1989 and the crime was finally solved almost 27 years later. The second season talks about the Curtis Flowers case, a man who has been tried 6 times for the same crime. It’s a really interesting podcast!
Casablanca– It’s a classic, and I saw it for the first time last month! It was actually a Christmas gift from Ethan, and we went to Toronto to watch the movie and hear the music performed live by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra! I really enjoyed the movie, and would definitely watch it again.
John Hamm Skipthedishes Commerical– Okay, I think this is the first time I’ve even mentioned a commercial, but this one was too good not to mention. It’s the Jon Hamm commercial for Skipthedishes where he’s giving the commands to his “smart home”. My favourite part is the look on his face at the lavender smell. I’ve linked it above if you haven’t already seen it!
Clothing
Old Navy Cardigan– I haven’t really bought any new clothes in a few months, but I wanted to mention something that always makes me happy to wear. This blanket soft cardigan from Old Navy.
Beauty
Kristen Ess rose gold spray– I’m totally behind the trend here, but I recently bought the rose gold spray, and have been really liking it! It took a little bit of playing to see how vibrant I can get it, and it washes out in 2-3 washes. The more dry your hair is the more concentrated it will be. I’m too scared to commit to actually dying my hair, so this has been fun to try!
Books
The Breakdown by BA Paris– I mentioned another book by the same author last month, and I really enjoyed this one! It’s hard to explain without giving too much away, so here’s the synopsis from Amazon:
If you can’t trust yourself, who can you trust?
Cass is having a hard time since the night she saw the car in the woods. It was on the winding rural road, in the middle of a downpour, and a woman was sitting inside—the woman who was killed. She’s been trying to put the crime out of her mind; what could she have done, really? It’s a dangerous road to be on in the middle of a storm, and she probably would have been hurt herself if she’d stopped. Not only that, her husband would be furious if he knew she’d broken her promise not to take that shortcut home.
But since then, she’s been forgetting every little thing. Where she left the car; if she took her pills; even the alarm code.
The only thing she can’t forget is that woman, the woman she might have saved, and the terrible nagging guilt.
And the silent calls she’s receiving, or the feeling that someone’s watching her…
The Expats by Chris Pavone– This book was different from anything I’ve read lately, and ready like a spy movie! It’s about a woman who if a former CIA agent, and what happens when she finds out her new friends are not who they say they are, and how her husband isn’t who he seems either. There is a sequel, so I’ve added it to my list, and I think this book is going to be a movie!
Misc
Distinctly Home Flannel Sheets– I will probably add a home category when we move into our house, but I wanted to mention something new this month! We recently got some flannel sheets for our house, and started using some of them now! I was sick in February, so when I could get warm these were amazing. I’m normally the person who has freezing feet all the time, so they are wonderful! I don’t know how I lived so long without them. Ours our light grey, and a really subtle colour!
Priceless
Spending time with Ethan- I feel like this could make the list every month, but it was Ethan’s birthday in February, and I really enjoyed spending the day with him doing whatever he wanted! I normally do something blog or YouTube related every day, so I tried really hard to get everything done so I could spend time with him!
