Hello everyone, I hope you are well! Today I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of January! It’s hard to believe one month of 2019 is already gone! I’ll be sharing some of my favourite things in entertainment, books, beauty, clothing, and more. Okay, let’s get started!

entertainment
You- Ethan and I binged this on Netflix while we were house sitting, and wow. It was intense, and dark, and creepy, but so good. It’s based on a book that has a sequel, so I might add those to my list. I enjoyed the show more than Ethan, but I would recommend it! Just a warning, you might not want to watch it right before you fall asleep.
Songs for Carmella by Christina Perri– Ok. I know this is an album of lullabies, but it’s so adorable! I love Christina Perri (I think I even mentioned her in my first ever monthly favourites post), and so I’m happy just to have new music! But the album is so cute. With some of her songs, plus covers of lots of Disney tunes, it’s just so relaxing! If you have little ones, check it out! Plus it also comes with instrumental versions if you feel like doing the singing instead.
Instant Hotel- I’m OBSESSED with this one. One episode had me crying I was laughing so hard. I’d seen people talking about it in a Facebook group I’m in, and then on a Young House Love Has a Podcast, so I figured it was worth checking it out. It’s like the TLC show Four Weddings, but for Airbnb’s instead of weddings. There are two parts to the season, one group of people who go to each others instant hotel and judge, and then another group, and the winners from each group go against each other. It’s funny and I like it!
beauty
Drunk Elephant Pekee bar– I know I’ve talked about Drunk Elephant products in other posts, but I thought I should mention the cleanser I’m using every day! I bought the travel size cleansers in my April Sephora Haul from last year, and the are still going strong! I love how clean it leaves my skin, and it lathers up so well that it lasts forever! I already have the full size ready for when I finish the one I’m using now.
Garnish Attention Nail Polish– Instagram ads got me! I saw this shade of nail polish on Instagram and added it to my Amazon wishlist! In some light it looks green and in others it looks blue, and I really like it. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is my go to, so I’m happy to have another colour in my collection!
clothing
Disneyland Sweater– You’ve probably seen this either in my Disneymoon Haul or in recent weekend vlogs because I’ve been wearing it so much, but I love this sweater! It’s so fuzzy and cozy on the inside without being too warm, and I just love the classic Disneyland vibe it has!
books
A Modern Way to Cook by Anna Jones– Ethan got this cookbook for Christmas, and we’ve made a few things! My favourite so far is probably the sweet potato gnocchi and I think we will make it again. All of the meals are vegetarian, and are supposed to be fast! I don’t think they are quite as fast as they say, but we’ve been enjoying making them!
The Good Liar by Catherine McKenzie– I read 5 books in January so I’m only going to mention two! This one was interesting, and is based on stories that came out after 9/11. There’s a fire in Chicago that kills hundreds of people, and the book focuses on a few families that are all somehow connected. It was really interesting, especially after finding out the situations actually happened.
Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris– This one was creepy but such a page turner! It’s about a married couple who seem perfect, but you never know what’s going on behind closed doors. I also connected a lot to the main character who has a sister with a disability, and really understood her. I haven’t felt that way about a character in a book in a long time, if ever!
misc
Metropolitan Pop Fountain Pen by Pilot– This is one gift I got for Christmas that I have been using every day! One of my goals for the year is to write in my journal (I’ve been following a list of prompts which makes it so easy!), and so I’ve really enjoyed using my fountain pen. It just feels so much fancier and writes so nicely!
priceless
Taking a weekend off!- I decided I needed an impromptu weekend off of vlogging, and it was really nice! I still worked on my blog an YouTube stuff, but just leaving the camera in one spot was nice! Plus I baked up a storm, which is always relaxing! Below is a picture of everything I made!
