Hello everyone, and Happy June! I can’t believe summer is almost here, and I’m so happy the weather has warmed up! Today I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of May, from entertainment, to beauty, some books, and a recipe! Okay, let’s get started!

Entertainment
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel– Ethan and I are probably the last people on Earth to get Amazon Prime, but as soon as we did I started watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon prime Video! This show is from the creator of Gilmore Girls, and I’ve been loving the first season! It’s only 8 epsiodes, and is definitely more adult than Gilmore Girls (aka swearing and nudity). It’s about Midge Maisel who is trying to become a stand up comic in the 1950’s. It’s really good!
Waitress Broadway soundtrack- I feel like I haven’t mentioned a music favourite in a while! I first head about it through KyleandCourt, and then I kept hearing about it everywhere! So I listened to it, and without having seen the movie I had no idea what was going on. So I watched the movie and now I get it! The musical is coming to Toronto next year I believe, so I hope I can go seeing it after falling in love with the soundtrack!
New Light by John Mayer– I love the song, but the video is GOLD. I really like the song, it feels like a good song for driving in the car this summer! But the music video it where it’s at. You have to watch it! I like that John Mayer can make fun of himself and not take himself too seriously. I’ve linked the video for your enjoyment!
Books
I read 3 books this month! All part of a 5-book series by Kiera Cass. I heard about them from the Young House Love Podcast (which I’ve mentioned in a favourites before)! The first 3 books are one story, and the second two jump forward in time and are another story, but with familiar characters. I flew through these books, like read the second two in a day each. They are really good! I would describe them as a cross between The Hunger Games and The Bachelor. The books include: The Selection, The Elite, and The One. Below is the description of the Selection from Amazon.ca
For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape a rigid caste system, live in a palace, and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon. But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her, and competing for a crown she doesn’t want.
Then America meets Prince Maxon—and realizes that the life she’s always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.
Beauty
Biosilk Silk Therapy– I’ve been using this for a while when I get out of the shower and it smells so good! I got the bottle at Costco, and it’s works well to detangle my hair (which is getting pretty long)! My hairdresser uses it and my Mom used to use it all the time, so the smell is very familiar to me!
Fitness
Garmin Forerunner 35– I got my fitness and GPS tracker for Christmas, but I wanted to use it for a while before mentioning it! It tracks my heart rate, steps, sleep quality, plus GPS for running. It has tons of settings like intervals, goal pace and more that I played around with in May. The battery lasts 1-2 weeks depending on how much you work out with it. Without giving this watch an entire post, I would recommend it! I talk a bit more about it in the video below as well.
Old Navy ankle socks– This might be random, but I wanted to mention my favourite socks. They are great for working out, nice and thin, and cheap too! I always buy them on sale and have a bunch of pairs in grey and black. They aren’t “fitness” socks, but I’ve worn them at Walt Disney World, plus running 15K! They are ankle socks, but don’t slide down giving me blisters. I have a ton of pairs in grey and black.
Food
Vegan buddha bowl– Okay, number 1, the picture is gorgeous, and number 2 this bowl is delicious! The spiced roasted chickpeas are my favourite part! Ethan and I are trying to meal prep some healthier lunches, and we’ve been liking bowls! This recipe was easy to make and you can easily make enough for a full week of meals!
Salt and Vingear cracker chips by Special K– These have been my chips lately, they are slightly healthier than regular chips, but addicting! I’m very picky when it comes to my salt and vinegar flavour, and these are very good!

Hi! I have so many thoughts on this post – 1. I’m so so glad you liked the recipe! 2. Ms. Maisel is THE BEST, and 3. I’m stoked to be mentioned on a Disney themed blog! I went to WDW for the 6th or 7th time last year, and I can’t wait to go back

Hi Sarah! I’ve been making variations of the recipe for my lunches the past few weeks, I will have to try out some others! I only have 2 episodes left of the first season and I’m trying to make them last as long as possible! And that’s awesome! I’m not sure when I will be back in WDW, but I hope it’s soon! Thank you so much for the nice comments!
