Hello everyone, and happy December! It’s officially the holiday season, and I am so happy about it! This is my favourite time of year! I’ve been baking up a storm and shopping for everyone on my list, and it’s hard to believe it’s already monthly favourites time once again! I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of November, from entertainment to beauty, food and drinks. Okay, without further ado, let’s get started!

Entertainment
The Good Doctor- Ethan and I binged the first 5 episodes, and are really liking this show! I find it hard to watch at some points just because how the characters treat him because he has autism, and I know that all to well with my sister and the other people with disabilities I’ve worked with over the years. It is really well done though, and if you haven’t watched an episode I suggest giving it a try! If you don’t know what it’s about, it’s about a doctor who is on the Autism spectrum working in a hospital as a surgical resident. People don’t go easy on him, and you can see how hard it can be for him, but it’s really a feel good show.
Gavin DeGraw- I saw Gavin DeGraw in concert at the end of October, and I forgot how much I loved his music. I’ve mentioned his most recent record in a monthly favourites (I believe when it was newly released), but I really just wanted to talk about how much I love his music in general. One of my favourite albums is “Free”. I could blast that record, and it still makes me so happy to listen to him!
Taylor Swift’s Reputation album– Ok, this thing is catchy. I shared my first impression of the album in a weekend vlog (linked in the video below) a few weeks ago, but this cd has grown on me! I definitely still like the second half better, but it’s a fun cd to listen to in the car! And it doesn’t get stuck in my head which I like, because I thought “Look What you Made Me Do” would forever be stuck in my head. I believe it is finally on Spotify, so give it a listen if you haven’t already!
The Lying Game by Ruth Ware– I flew through this book! It was 500+ pages in Ebook form, and I read it in just over a week. It was quite a page-turner! It’s about four girls who were best friends at boarding school, and 17 years later come back together when a body has been discovered that they might know something about. I thought I had it figured out, but this book still kept me guessing!
Dirty John Podcast– I heard about this podcast quickly in an episode of Young House Love Has a Podcast (basically just the name), and a semi-detailed synopsis in a video from MakeupbyTiffanyD. But it sounded interesting, and it was! I don’t want to give anything away, so here’s the little blurb from the podcast:
Debra Newell is a successful interior designer. She meets John Meehan, a handsome man who seems to check all the boxes: attentive, available, just back from a year in Iraq with Doctors Without Borders. But her family doesn’t like John, and they get entangled in an increasingly complex web of love, deception, forgiveness, denial, and ultimately, survival. Reported and hosted by Christopher Goffard from the L.A. Times.
Beauty
Pink Flamingo bubble bar from Lush– I used this adorable bubble bar for the first time in November, and I loved it! It’s reusuable so you can definitely get a few uses out of it, and it give plenty of bubbles and pink water! I can be a little sensitive when it comes to fragrances, but I really like this one! Plus, who doesn’t like something in the shape of a flamingo!
Food & Drink
Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks– I tried this latte on a whim after watching Jenna Rose for a while (this drink is her go-to), and this drink really tastes like fall! I loved it, and will definitely order it again!
Challah– I made some Challah a few weekends ago, and it was SO good! I made bread for about a month when I went to chef school, so it was nice to do it again, and it made me want to make it more often! We had some with chilli, and then I made french toast from it. YUM! The cookbook I used is The Baker in Me by Daphna Rabinovitch (linked above). Below is a picture of the beautiful loaf!
Apple Cider- I’ve really been enjoying hot apple cider this year! I’ve had it with tea steeped in it, and just by itself, but it’s such a nice warm treat! I just picked some up from the grocery store, so I’m not recommending a certain brand, but it sure it a nice change and a treat!

I read rather than listened to Dirty John but it was SO good! Really interesting the way we can allow ourselves to be deceived for love.

It was definitely frustrating at times that she couldn’t see how bad he was! I’d never listened to a podcast like that, and I really enjoyed it!

I had heard good things about it, and one night my fiancé and I just decided to give it a go! I would definitely recommend giving it a try!
