Hello friends, and I hope your December is treating you well! Today I’m back with another monthly favourites post, where I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of November! I’ll be sharing items in the following categories: books, entertainment, clothing, beauty, food, and priceless! Okay, let’s get started!
entertainment
ladygang tv- One of my favourite podcasts got a TV show, and I’m loving it so far! It has the same feel as the podcast although much shorter, but it’s fun to see Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin and Jac Vanek instead of just listening to them! It airs Sunday nights at 10:30pm on E!
Mumford and Sons: Delta– Mumford and Sons released a new album in November! Ethan and I were so excited to listen to it, and are actually going to a concert on Monday! We went years ago and it was probably the most fun I’ve ever had at a concert! I really like the new album, it’s their newer “sound”, but it’s still calming, and I also want to crank it! My favourite songs so far are Guiding Light and If I Say. Let me know if you’ve listened what you think!
books
Apparently I read a lot in November! I’ve included descriptions from Amazon for all of the books to not give anything away, but I’ve shortened them a bit!
All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin– I flew through this book! I think I’ve read every book by Emily Giffin, and so as soon as I saw she had a new book out I put this one on hold from my library!
The new novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of First Comes Love raises the daunting question: In the midst of a scandal that threatens a perfect life, how far are you willing to go to protect the ones you love?
The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty– I read this while on my honeymoon, and I really enjoyed it! I’ve now read 4 books by this author (see another one below), and I always read them quite fast although it doesn’t feel like I spend a ton of time reading!
Imagine your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not only the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. And then imagine that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive…
The Girl With a Clock for a Heart by Peter Swanson– I read this book very quickly! I’ve read 3 books now by Peter Swanson, and am slowly adding his other books to my list!
Already optioned for film, The Girl with a Clock for a Heart is Peter Swanson’s electrifying tale of romantic noir, with shades of Hitchcock and reminiscent of the classic movie Body Heat. It is the story of a man swept into a vortex of irresistible passion and murder when an old love mysteriously reappears.
What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty– I really like her writing style (clearly since I’ve read a few of her books now), and find them easy to read and fast! This one sort of reminded me of I Feel Pretty.
Alice Love is twenty-nine, crazy about her husband, and pregnant with her first child. So imagine Alice’s surprise when she comes to on the floor of a gym (a gym! She HATES the gym) and is whisked off to the hospital where she discovers the honeymoon is truly over—she’s getting divorced, she has three kids, and she’s actually 39 years old. Alice must reconstruct the events of a lost decade, and find out whether it’s possible to reconstruct her life at the same time. She has to figure out why her sister hardly talks to her, and how is it that she’s become one of those super skinny moms with really expensive clothes. Ultimately, Alice must discover whether forgetting is a blessing or a curse, and whether it’s possible to start over…
beauty
Adrenaline Crush Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail polish– I bought this nailpolish in October, and I wore it non-stop! It’s a really nice colour for fall, kind of purple with a silver undertone. I love it and will continue to wear it through the winter!
TreSemme Anti Frizz Secret Cream– I bought this after finishing my last container of anti-frizz cream (I’m constantly looking for the perfect one), and I think this one comes pretty close! You can see how well it works in the video at the bottom of the post, but I definitely think it makes a difference!
clothing
The Most Famous Reindeer Shirt from PixieLee&Co– Ok this is totally my new favourite shirt. If you don’t know, I LOVE Sven from Frozen, like he’s my favourite. So when I saw Shelby reveal this design, I almost cried and ordered it right away. I stood in front of the Small World Wall in Disneyland and made Ethan take my picture. Seriously, I love this shirt and want to wear it every day!
food and drink
Açai bowl- I had one of these for the first time on our honeymoon, and it was delicious! So I got home and went onto Pinterest to find a recipe! I got this açai powder from Amazon, and made my first one a few weeks ago! It’s definitely something I’ll have to play around with to get the right consistency, but it was still yummy!
priceless
Our honeymoon!
We had the best time on our honeymoon in November, and it’s something I will cherish forever. I was so happy to get 10 uninterrupted days with my husband! It was worth every penny!
