Hello everyone! I hope you are settling into a routine once again as September keeps trucking along! Today I’m back with a Disney related post, all about food! I’m sharing my 5 favourite Quick Service Restaurants in Walt Disney World in no particular order, with what I would order if I was there right now! I’ve picked one from each park, and 2 from Epcot (Future World & World Showcase). I’ll be back in a few weeks with my 5 favourite table service restaurants, and my 5 favourite resort restaurants! Okay, without further ado let’s jump in!
What is a Quick Service Restaurant?
Quick Service would be similar to a McDonald’s or Panera Bread, where you place your order at a counter, and carry your food back to an open seating area with a tray. They are less expensive than the sit down or Table Service Restaurants.
Special Notes
I want to start this out with mentioning that I am a pescatarian, so I don’t eat meat but do eat fish. So you won’t be seeing any hamburgers or turkey legs in this list!
Another thing I wanted to mention, is that this list can change! It’s totally dependent on your touring style of the parks. On my trips I tend to be in the parks all day, so I eat at these restaurants a lot! For someone who spends more time at the resorts, it might be hard to even pick something in the parks! I think it’s an interesting conversation, and I’d love to know what you think!
Epcot- World Showcase-Tangierine Cafe (Morocco Pavillion)
I ate here for the first time with my family in 2012, and really liked it! The vegetable platter was delicious, and they had lots of options for the rest of my family. I always forget about the restaurants in this pavillion, even though it is one of my favourites to wander!
If I was there right now I would order the vegetable platter again!
Magic Kingdom- columbia harbour house (Liberty Square)
Ethan and I dined here for the first time in 2015, as part of our Keys to the Kingdom Tour (which I would HIGHLY recommend)! I think Ethan had the Lobster roll, and I think I had the Shrimp & Fish Combo. I don’t generally go for Lobster Rolls, but I remember trying some of Ethan’s and really liking it! I love the upstairs seating area because it’s a little bit more quiet, and sitting by the window makes for such a nice view! Definitely my go-to in Magic Kingdom.
If I were there right now, I would order the Salmon, which I’ve heard is really good!
Epcot- Future World-sunshine seasons (The Land Pavillion)
I think The Land pavillion might be my favourite, and Sunshine Seasons has a TON of food options! I’ve eaten there many times before, and I like sitting and watching the sheer number of people going in and out of the pavillion, heading to and from Soarin’. They have the iced coffee I fell in love with on my 2013 trip, and a lot of vegetarian options. I can’t remember off the top of my head an entree that I’ve eaten there, but most likely a vegetarian wrap or sandwich. And the cheesecake, because cheesecake is my favourite. It’s set up like the Quick Service in the hotels, with different areas to order from.
If I was going there right now, I’d probably get the Vegan Korma with Gardein® Meatless Chik’n, it sounds pretty good!
Animal Kingdom-harambe market (africa)
We ate here on our Animal Kingdom day in 2016, and there were 9 of us total so there were plenty of options! Ethan and I both got the roasted vegetables, and I remember them being very flavourful! I would also reccommend the Bibo or Sparberry drinks, you can sample them for free in Club Cool at Epcot!
If I was going back today I would get the roasted vegetables again!
Hollywood Studios-PizzeRizzo (Grand Avenue)
I’m going to be completely honest with this one stating two things. 1) I’ve never actually eaten here, but I did when it was Toy Story Pizza Planet (RIP), and it pretty much just changed in theme. 2) This is the only Quick Service restaurant I can think of that I’ve gone to multiple times in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The pizzas are okay, but definitely fill you up, and sometimes are even enough to split. When I’ve been on the Disney Dining Plan in the past, it was more than enough food because it comes with a side salad and dessert.
If I was there right now, I would order the cheese pizza with pasta salad and a tiramisu (the menu has changed slightly since it was Pizza Planet).
honorable mentions:
Yorkshire country fish shop (World Showcase at Epcot)- you can’t go wrong with Fish & Chips! The seating area by the water is really nice, and I’ve eaten my fish & chips there before!
Be Our Guest (breakfast or lunch at Magic Kingdom)- I’ve only done the lunch at Be Our Guest, but I really enjoyed it! I had the quinoa salas, and would probably try the vegetarian French Onion Soup if I were there right now!
