Walt Disney World Resort Hotels: The Villas Part 1!

the villas at walt Disney world

Hello friends! I hope you are well! Today I’m sharing another post in the Walt Disney World Resort post series, with Part 1 all about the Villas! I’m sharing the room configurations available, starting prices and the food options available! All prices listed are as of August 11th, 2018. Okay, let’s get started!

The first thing to note is what makes the villas different! The Villas are larger accommodations that are generally used by Disney Vacation Club members. If you’d like to hear more about Disney Vacation Club, start with this post, then check this one about how I became a DVC member!

Saratoga Springs

Saratoga Springs is located in the Disney Springs Resort area, and transportation is available by boat and bus. Rooms start at $347 per night.

  • Deluxe Studio (1 Queen bed and 1 Double Sleeper Sofa)
  • Deluxe Studio Preferred Location* (1 Queen bed and 1 Double Sleeper Sofa)
  • 1 Bedroom Villa (1 King Bed and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa)
  • 1 Bedroom Villa Preferred Location* (1 King Bed and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa)
  • 2 Bedroom Villa (1 King Bed, 2 Queen Beds, and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa)
  • 2 Bedroom Villa Preferred Location* (1 King Bed, 2 Queen Beds, and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa)
  • Treehouse Villa (2 Queen beds, 1 Bunk Bed and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa)

*Preferred location means the room is closer to the main building, transportation and food options.

Food Options: The Artists Palette is the Table Service restaurant, and The Paddock Grill is the Quick Service restaurant.

Saratoga Springs is a great option if you like to spend time at Disney Springs, because you can walk there! I think it would be fun to try staying in that area of WDW.

Old Key West

Old Key West is the original Disney Vacation Club resort! It’s located in the Disney Springs resort area, transportation is available by boat and bus, and rooms start at $347 per night.

  • Deluxe Studio (2 Queen Beds)
  • 1 Bedroom Villa (1 King Bed, 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin Sleeper Chair)
  • 2 Bedroom Villa (1 King Bed, 2 Queen Beds, 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin Chair)

Food Options: Olivia’s is the Table Service restaurant (and is supposed to be really good!), and Good’s Food to Go is the Quick Service Option.

Old Key West looks like a very relaxing resort, and again if you like Disney Springs you can walk there!

Polynesian

The Polynesian is located in the Magic Kingdom resort area, transportation is available by bus, boat and monorail, and rooms start at $503 per night. There are specific buildings that are the villas, and are all to one side of the resort.

  • Deluxe Studio Standard View (1 Queen Sleeper Sofa, 1 Queen Bed and 1 Single Pull Down Bed)
  • Deluxe Studio Lake View (1 Queen Sleeper Sofa, 1 Queen Bed and 1 Single Pull Down Bed)
  • Bungalow (1 King bed, 1 Queen Bed, 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa, and 2 Single Pull Down Beds)

Food Options: (all shared with the Polynesian) O’hana (Character Breakfast and all you can eat), and Kona Cafe are the Table Service option, and Capt Cook’s in the Quick Service option.

On my trip in 2016 we stayed in the Deluxe Studio Standard view, and loved it! I couldn’t get over the location, being able to see Cinderella Castle and hear the train at Magic Kingdom!

  • Deluxe Studio Lake View (1 Queen Bed and 1 Double Sleeper Sofa)
  • Deluxe Studio Theme Park View (1 Queen Bed and 1 Double Sleeper Sofa)
  • 1 Bedroom Villa Standard View ( 1 King Bed and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin Sleeper Chair)
  • 1 Bedroom Villa Lake View ( 1 King Bed and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin Sleeper Chair)
  • 1 Bedroom Villa Theme Park View ( 1 King Bed and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin Sleeper Chair)
  • 2 Bedroom Villa Standard View (1 King Bed, 2 Queen Beds and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin Sleeper Sofa)
  • 2 Bedroom Villa Lake View (1 King Bed, 2 Queen Beds and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin Sleeper Sofa)
  • 2 Bedroom Villa Theme Park View (1 King Bed, 2 Queen Beds and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin Sleeper Sofa)

Food Options: All shared with the Contemporary Resort (connected by walkway) with the exception of Top of the World Lounge which is on the top floor of Bay Lake Tower. You can only access it if you are a Disney Vacation Club members and on July 3rd & 4th and December 31st you have to be staying at Bay Lake Tower to access the Top of the World Lounge.

I really hope to be able to stay here someday, because walking to Magic Kingdom would be so convenient! Especially with small children who need to go back to the room for a nap, it would be ideal!
