I can’t believe I’m even typing this, but A Disney Obsession is 10 years old!
I can still remember when I came up with the idea. I had just finished school—or was just about to—and I was wondering what I was going to do with all my spare time. We were at my boyfriend’s parents’ house (now my in-laws!), and I started thinking about all the Disney knowledge I had floating around in my head. I wanted a place to point people who were planning a trip, and just like that, A Disney Obsession was born!

I worked on it for a few months before launching, and then… it was out there in the world! I had been to Walt Disney World just a few months earlier, and Ethan and I had really gotten into photography—so I was all about editing photos for the blog.

This blog has been there through so many moments in my life over the last ten years!
Ethan and I bought a house (that we didn’t end up moving into), and—spoiler alert—we bought our current home in 2021, which I never really “announced” because the blog’s focus had started to shift.
We got engaged in 2016, and I shared so much of the wedding planning process (and afterward, of course!).
I started posting on YouTube and vlogged so many of my weekends over the years. I’m not sure if I’ll return to YouTube, but it definitely played a big part in getting me to where I am today.
We got married in 2018, visited Disneyland and Aulani, and went on our first Disney Cruise in 2019!
Then came 2020—and we all know what happened. I took a break from blogging (what I thought would be a short one… it ended up being five years, whoops!).
In 2021, I got back to the blog, working behind the scenes and started consistently writing newsletters—and that’s actually been the one thing I’ve kept up with ever since! I also opened the shop and released my first two digital products.
In 2022, I became a mom! A mom who couldn’t wait to take her son to Walt Disney World (though technically, he’d already been—since we went in May 2022 when I was pregnant!).
In 2023 and 2024, I continued to publish weekly newsletters and enjoy time with my growing family. We also took our first family trip to Walt Disney World in September 2024, and I’ve been sharing about that trip on the blog!
And now, in 2025, I feel like I’m starting to peek back out of my introvert bubble. I’ve been posting more regularly on the blog, showing up on social media again, and working on some really exciting projects behind the scenes. I also became a travel agent so I could help even more people plan their dream vacations! And we are growing our family with a baby girl due in August!

Whether you’ve just found my little corner of the internet or you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you so much. I truly appreciate your support, encouragement, and Disney-loving hearts. I can’t wait to see where A Disney Obsession goes next! 💫
