Hello, friends! Today we are finishing up the Disney & Disabilities series, and I just wanted to thank you for joining me! Today we’re talking about the accessibility requirements at Disney’s Animal Kindgom! Keeping in mind that all of the animal “exhibits” are wheelchair accessible, this list might be pretty short! Animal Kingdom is more about the animals then it is about rides. In any case, let’s jump in!
Guests may remain in wheelchair
It’s Tough to be a Bug!
Wildlife Express Train
Kilimanjaros Safaris*
Festival of the Lion King
Finding Nemo- The Musical
Character Meets
Tree of Life Awakenings
*guests in ECV’s must transfer to a wheelchair, and can ride in a wheelchair. Sidenote- it’s very bumpy, so you should take into consideration if you might be more comfortable in the regular seat or in a wheelchair!
Guests must transfer to Ride Vehicle
Dinosaur
Expedition Everest
Kali River Rapids
Avatar Flight of Passage*
Na’vi River Journey
TriceraTop Spin
*guests in ECV’s must transfer to a wheelchair, then transfer to ride
I have to say I am excited for Pandora to open, from what we could see when we went in November, it’s going to be pretty cool! As you can see, the accessibility information for the two new attractions is already on the website, which is great! I also watched a from The Tim Tracker where he goes into Pandora before it opens, so if you are interested in seeing inside, check out the video here. He and his wife give really honest feedback, and do a great job of showing you around. Spoiler alert: Pandora is gorgeous!
Animal Kingdom is such a fun park to wander and explore! If you think of this park as a half day park, try staying all day next time! With the Tree of Life Awakenings, and Rivers of Light, I think you’ll have a great time! There are so many trails and paths to explore, and everything is so lush and beautiful! I always notice new things.
2021 update: In 2019 my husband and I got to explore Pandora for the first time and we LOVED it! If you’d like to see our reactions, check out this vlog from our trip!
