Hello friends! Happy September! Holy cow this year is flying by! I hope you are all well. It’s monthly favourites time once again, and I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of August! From entertainment, beauty, recipes and more, I’m sharing it all! Okay, let’s get started!

Entertainment
Brendan James- I could probably write a whole blog post about this musician! We first were introduced to Brendan on the second John Mayer cruise, and absolutely loved his music! We’ve traveled to Ohio and New York to see him, and actually think of him more as a friend! He’s even played in our backyard :). I recently got into the mood to listen to his music, so I did just that! He’s a singer-songwriter who plays the piano, and I definitely think you should check him out! I couldn’t find his newest EP on Amazon, but it’s called The Howl! I’ve linked all his other cd’s below 
farm hero saga- I used to play this game all the time and reached a level I couldn’t pass so I forgot about it! Well I rediscovered it and I love playing it to relax! It’s like Candy Crush just with crops like apples, strawberry, carrots ect. They now have challenges that only last for so many hours, so it’s fun to try and beat those! If you are looking for a new game to play, I would recommend it!
Since we fell by Dennis Lehane- I flew through this book! I could not put it down! It’s by the author of Shutter Island, and because I don’t want to ruin anything here’s the synopsis from Chapters.ca
Since We Fell follows Rachel Childs, a former journalist who, after an on-air mental breakdown, now lives as a virtual shut-in. In all other respects, however, she enjoys an ideal life with an ideal husband. Until a chance encounter on a rainy afternoon causes that ideal life to fray. As does Rachel’s marriage. As does Rachel herself. Sucked into a conspiracy thick with deception, violence, and possibly madness, Rachel must find the strength within herself to conquer unimaginable fears and mind-altering truths. By turns heart- breaking, suspenseful, romantic, and sophisticated, Since We Fell is a novel of profound psychological insight and tension. It is Dennis Lehane at his very best.
Beauty
Body Scrub by Stemulation– I have these small bumps on my arms that are really annoying, and are almost like little ingrown hairs that can pop (it’s called Keratosis Pilaris). I’d seen a post in a Facebook group I’m in with recommendations for getting rid of them, and an exfoliating scrub was one of them! I had this one around after getting it in a FabFitFun box, so I’m finally putting it to good use! I use it every other day in the shower, and I find that it’s working like a charm. Plus this one smells so nice and fruity!

ScribblePrintsCo.– I’ve been really into watching Plan With Me’s on YouTube lately, and ScribblePrintsCo. is usually my go-to! I usually put them on while I’m getting ready in the morning, and I find them so relaxing and soothing! While I’d love to watch the video and buy the stickers, they are a little out of my budget. So I watch them instead and enjoy it just as much!
Jenna Rose– Another sticker related YouTuber, I found Jenna Rose this month! She runs Planning Roses, and I follow her on Instagram so I think that is how I found her channel. She recently moved so I enjoyed watching those vlogs and her getting all set up in her new house. Seriously, I cannot wait to move in to our house! Another funny thing is she looked familiar, and I actually think I may have competed again her in gymnastics at some point! We are both from around Toronto, so it’s definitely possible!
Recipe
Roasted Honey Garlic Cauliflower– oh man. This recipe was SO GOOD! I’ve been really wanting to try cauliflower in different sauces because there are tons of recipes for cauliflower bites as versions of buffalo wings, and after this recipe I want to try ALL OF THEM! Ethan made them on a whim and they were delicious! I could have eaten all of them! Plus they were baked and not fried, and it’s cauliflower so it’s fairly healthy. Definitely give this a try! Love Real Food- I’ve mentioned a few recipes from the blog Cookie+Kate before, well this month I’m mentioning her cookbook! We’ve tried a few of the recipes so far and definitely enjoyed them! I even went through the entire book writing down what I want to try, and it’s almost two full pages! If you are looking for some good vegetarian recipes, definitely check out this cookbook!
Miscellaneous
La Croix– I’ve been on a sparkling water kick this summer, and I’m loving it! This brand it VERY popular in the US, so I wanted to try it! It’s pretty much only available at Whole Foods, so when I finally got the chance to go, I stocked up. I grabbed a case or cran-raspberry, lemon, and peach-pear. All different, and really good!
