Hello everyone, I hope your July is off to a great start! In today’s post I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of June! I’ve got some entertainment favourites, beauty, clothing, books, and a priceless item. Okay, let’s get started!

entertainment
chasing happiness- Okay if you know me than you might not be surprised by the first two items in this month’s favourites. The first is the Jonas Brothers documentary that came out on Amazon Prime Video. I really enjoyed it! I learned some new things about their life, and actually my whole family watched it. I love behind the scenes information, and this documentary was full of it!
Happiness Begins– Next, the new Jonas Brothers album! It was released in the first week of June, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to it. I think my favourite song is Hesitate, and there isn’t one I don’t like! I love the last three songs the most, and I can’t wait to see them in concert in August!
Yesterday- I went to go see this movie last weekend with Ethan’s family, and everyone enjoyed it! The premise is something happens and the main character is the only one who remembers that The Beatles exist, so he takes credit for their music. It was fun, and when we got home we turned on The Beatles! If you are a Beatles fan (I don’t know who isn’t), I would recommend the movie! And the humour was right up my alley.
beauty
Nars Radiant Concealer in Vanilla– I picked this up during the Sephora Spring Sale, and I’m really liking it! I bought the mini size, and will definitely buy the full size once I use it up. I just swipe a little on the bags under my eyes, and blend it out with a beauty blender. Works like a charm and lasts all day.
Kristen Ess curl defining creme– I used this product once and loved it so much I had to share! I have naturally wavy hair, and can scrunch it to dry naturally, but I’ve been looking for the right product for years! I’ve tried hairspray, scrunch sprays, creams, mousses, and it’s always still frizzy. I couldn’t believe how little frizz there was! I’m sold. I kept my hair natural for the video (see below), and there was a bit of frizz from sleeping on it, but still better than normal!
clothing
High Waisted Denim Shorts– I don’t remember the last time I owned a pair of denim shorts, but I picked up this pair from Old Navy and like them! They are a little shorter than I would normally buy, but are high-waisted which makes them look longer. I hold them up in the video at the bottom of the post, but they are linked as well and I couldn’t find a picture!
books
I Know You Know by Gilly Macmillan– This book had a crime podcast within it that I found really neat! Years after his two childhood best friends were murdered, the main character goes back to his home town to find out what happened. It was really interetsing to see visually how the author distinguished between the podcast, interviews within the podcast, as well as the past and the present. I really enjoyed it!
Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris– This is now the third or fourth book I’ve read by this author, and I really enjoyed it! After a woman disappears when travelling with her boyfriend at a gas station, but is she really dead? And years later the boyfriend is now dating her sister. It’s interesting and I’m keeping it brief as not to spoil anything! I clearly like this author, and would recommend all of her books (and I think I;ve mentioned all of the ones I’ve read)!
priceless
Birthday surprises- I’m the type of person who hates being surprised, but I love surprising people! My sister’s birthday was in June, and we has a whole evening planned. I share the whole story in this weekend vlog, but basically I was going to be in Toronto so we asked Alex if she wanted to pick me up, and then we could go to dinner. Dinner led to going to see The Lion King, and she was so excited when we let her in on it! It was so fun to see the huge smile on her face! Totally made the secrecy worth it.
