Hello everyone! Today is the last post of my have to’s at Walt Disney World! We are finishing up with Disney’s Hollywood Studios! This park is going through a lot of changes right now, so this list will probably change in the next few years with the opening of Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! But for today I am sharing the things that make up my ideal day at Hollywood Studios. Okay, let’s get started!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid- This was the first thing I ever did in a Disney park! And 20 years later (am I old enough to say that now?), I still love seeing this show. As I mentioned in this post, The Little Mermaid is my favourite Disney movie, so seeing something dedicated to it always makes me happy! It’s definitely something I have to do when I’m at Hollywood Studios! I’ll even wait for 30 minutes for the next show, and I’m not ashamed!
Toy Story Midway Mania- I’m a little competitive. So I love this ride! I can never beat Ethan, but I sure love to try. I also love this ride for the accessible car that my sister can ride in (you can see a good look at the vehicle in the Disney vlog below). It just reinforces how great Disney is at accommodating those with disabilities! If you want to read more about accessibility in Walt Disney World, check out this post, and this post series! Toy Story Midway Mania is a fun ride, and it has me excited for what is to come with Toy Story Land!
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror- This ride might be my favorite thing in Hollywood Studios! I love the theming, and how spooky it is! I’m usually a wimp when it comes to scary things, but I LOVE this ride! It’s unpredictable, and so much fun! I especially love when the doors open and you can see out into the park! Ethan doesn’t like this ride very much, but it’s one of the only rides I will go on by myself because I have to ride it that much!
Rock’n’ Rollercoaster starring Aerosmith- The other thrill ride at the end of Sunset Blvd. and I’ve always love this ride! I think every time I ride it I have the same face! I love the fast start and the fact that the rollercoaster is in the dark makes it that much more fun! I love hearing the songs that are in the ride in regular life, because you can bet the first thing I think of!
Fantasmic!- A day at Hollywood Studios has to end with Fantasmic! The music always brings a smile to my face, and is some of my favourite music in all of Walt Disney World. While the show might be a little outdated, I still love it and always want to see it!
Muppetvision 3D- Lastly I love Muppetvision! I remember seeing it on my first trip, and the little purple guy (I don’t know how else to describe him) I was convinced he was looking at ME! And I was sure that he wasn’t looking at my Mom! We had a little argument, and years later I realized that it was just the 3D :). I still like to see the Muppets, and I like the pre-show that plays on the tv! I always try to see this when I can!
Hollywood Studios is going through a lot of changes right now, so without mentioning every attraction or show that it open, this list is bound to be a little shorter. Like I mentioned I’m sure this list will grow with the addition of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land! But there is definitely a piece of my heart that loves Hollywood Studios!
