Check In!

Hello everyone, I hope you are well! Today is actually my birthday, so I thought I would take this opportunity to check in with you! It’s been a long while since I’ve done this, I think the last one was almost two years ago!

check in

I thought I would just sit down and type- so I apologize in advance if this post is all over the place, but I’m just writing what I’m thinking!

It’s hard to believe I’ve been blogging for almost three years! I feel like I’ve really found my groove and it’s such a part of my normal routine that it doesn’t feel like work. I 100% still enjoy sharing a new post with you every week and I hope you enjoy it too!

I also can’t believe how much I’ve changed since starting the blog! I would have never thought I’d be writing personal posts, I thought it would strictly be Disney. And YouTube? There was no way I ever thought I would upload a video! Vlogging? No way! And now I’ve been vlogging every weekend for over a year, and I’m still loving it!

I’ve become a lot more confident in myself and my abilities, and I have learned so much! I’ve also added much more into my schedule, especially now owning a sticker shop and posting one video a week for that channel!

I feel like I’ve learned a lot about blogging, and I’m still learning every day! Some of my favourite posts are sharing what I learned in each year of blogging! I’m not an expert by any means, but I’m definitely willing to share my experiences!

I’ve also loved sharing my Disney knowledge, especially after I’ve been 9 times! I will hopefully have more to share as I continue to visit the parks, although it might not be as often as I’d like 😉

I have tons of ideas for posts, and many that I will cover in the future (especially after we move into our house!). I’m thinking a before tour of our house, and posts as we finish decorating rooms, ect.

Looking ahead in my blog schedule I definitely have a lot of ideas, but I’d love to know if there is something you’d like to see! I have some questions for you below the video 🙂

I also posted my first check in on YouTube, if you’d rather listen to me talk than read the above!

Here’s where you come in!

Is there anything you’d like to see more of?

Anything you’d like to see less of?

Any questions you have for me?

And posts or videos you’d like to see from me?

Are there any wedding related posts or videos you would like to see?

Any house related posts once we move in?

Also if you’d care to let me know what brings you to my blog, I’d love to know!

I’d love to know! Let me know in the comments below, or head to the contact page to shoot me an email 🙂

THANK you!

I also wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU! I didn’t know what to expect when I started this thing almost three years ago, and I’m so happy with where I am now! Your support of this blog means the world to me, and I just want to thank you for following along!

My 8th Trip to Walt Disney World! (February 2015)

Hello friends, I hope you are well! Welcome back to another Disney trip recap! Today I am sharing everything I can remember from my 8th trip to Walt Disney World! From what I learned, to my favourite moments, I’m sharing it all! I will share a video below, and the main points of our trip below the video. Okay, let’s get started!

The Basics of the trip

  • first trip with DSLR’s
  • February 2015
  • was hot and got colder during the week
  • stayed at Caribbean Beach
  • went to Epcot on Ethan’s Birthday!
  • Ethan’s first time seeing Illuminations: reflections of Earth
  • ate at Via Napoli, 50’s Prime Time Diner, California Grill and Raglan Road
  • not on the dining plan- tried to keep track of food expenses
  • “worst” trip (more of an explanation in the video)
  • I was struggling with anxiety (final semester of college is so much fun!)
  • flights were a problem- Ethan didn’t have a seat on the first flight
  • we were given the wrong room number 🙁
  • saw the Train Station opening show for the first time!
  • Keys to the Kingdom tour (I would HIGHLY recommend it!)
  • saw Festival of Fantasy for the first time
  • first time on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • first time on Splash Mountain at night!
  • I learned that not every trip is going to be “magical”

Monthly Favourites- March 2018

Hello everyone, and Happy April! I’m ready for warmer weather and for winter to be gone! It’s monthly favourites time again and I’m sharing some of my favourite things from the month of March! From entertainment, to podcasts and more, I’m sharing it all! Okay, let’s get started!

Black Panther- I meant to add this last month but I forgot! So we are making an exception because I technically saw it in February (on opening night actually)! I really enjoyed Black Panther, even having zero interest in seeing it. It was so funny, and for once the “love story” wasn’t the main focus, and all of the women kick butt! If you haven’t seen it yet, I would definitely recommend it!

Nailed It!– This show on Netflix is GOLD. Amateur bakers try to replicate professional confectionery works, and it’s hilarious. Especially with my background in baking, and I know how to make the different elements. Seriously, give it a try! I think they have already been renewed for a season 2, and I can’t wait.

monthly favourites march 2018

The Party by Robyn Harding– I flew through this book in I think only a week! It was an interesting book that I think people of all ages would enjoy! It is a little on the darker side, but deals with some really interesting subjects. Here’s a synopsis from Amazon:

In this stunning and provocative domestic drama about a sweet sixteen birthday party that goes horribly awry, a wealthy family in San Francisco finds their picture-perfect life unraveling, their darkest secrets revealed, and their friends turned to enemies.

90’s Smash Hits playlist on Spotify– I found this playlist, and I’ve been LOVING it! It takes me back to when I was a kid, and I’ve enjoyed playing it in the kitchen on our Google Home Mini. If you like 90’s pop music, check it out!

Gilmore Guys podcast– My friend Lila (who also has a blog you can find here) recommended this podcast to me and I’ve been loving it! It’s hosted by Kevin and Demi, Kevin-who are up watching Gilmore Girls, and Demi who is watching the episodes for the first time. They started the podcast in 2014 so I have a lot to catch up on, but it’s interesting how in detail they go for each episode. I think it lends itself well to people who have watching it a ton (aka me), because I know exactly what they are talking about in the episodes. It also makes me want to watch at the same time, but having just finished Friends I’m trying to watch something new! If you love Gilmore Girls like I do, I think you’ll really like Gilmore Guys.

Up & Vanished– This is my new Serial! I actually just finished the season yesterday (two days before this post goes up), and it was SO GOOD! This podcast talks about the Tara Grinstead case, and unravels in real time. I won’t give anything away, but there have been some pretty big developments in the case since Payne Lindsey started looking into the cold case in 2016. There are “case evidence” episodes that go further behind the scenes, and experts are consulted to answer questions that listened submit. I couldn’t stop listening!

Bakery Story 2– I’ve been addicted to this game lately! You are the owner of a bakery, and in the game you have different ovens to bake different items, to complete orders and earn coins. You also have to expand your bakery to keep your customers happy! I like “task” focused games like these and I’ve been enjoying this one!

Clothing & Accessories

Lillian and Co. bracelets– If you follow Disney obsessed people on Instagram like I do, you’ve probably heard of this brand before. They sell bangled with Disney quotes and mantras on them, and I’m in love! I currently have two rose gold bangles, “Do as dreamers do” from Wishes, and “Have courage and be kind” from Cinderella. They bend easily to fit my tiny wrists, and bring a little bit of Disney magic to my day!

monthly favourites march 2018

Mid Rise Compression Leggings from Old Navy-While I think Fabletics leggings are my favourite, these leggings are good for the price point! I’ve had them for a few months now and they are comfortable and wearing well! Especially with the many sales Old Navy has, they are good deal!
